St. Pauls United Methodist Church . In 1908 a small group of Methodists in St. Pauls began to hold prayer services, using the St. Pauls Presbyterian Church. The group grew and soon began using a two-story frame on West Broad Street . The current building pictured here was built in 1919.

New Baptist Church . The Lumberton Baptist by 1907 found that their 1881 building was not large enough. In 1908 they purchased a lot on the corner of Walnut and Sixth Streets. The first service held in the new church was on Thanksgiving Day 1910, the total cost of building and furnishings was $42,000.
