On Saturday, September 26, 2009, the
Robeson County History Museum participated
in the fifth annual Museum Day, presented
by Smithsonian magazine, a celebration
of culture, learning and the dissemination
of knowledge.
“We want people from all over the county
to come and show their pride in the
Robeson County History Museum,” said
museum president Jan Tedder Rogers.
On the grounds behind the museum was
be a Civil War Encampment provided by
local reenactors.
Dr. Tulla Lightfoot, coordinator of
Art Education at UNC Pembroke, and her
students were in charge of the children’s
activities which included a design your
own postcard station, make a fish kite
and face painting.
